The staff were happy to help, providing an excellent service. The hotel had an absolutely perfect location a walking distance from a Roman triumphal column. A mosque and historic sites were walking distance to the venue.

We appreciated the elegant-style building and well furnished room with nice view. Its location not too far from a functioning mosque was magnificent and perfect.

The staff were kind and helpful throughout my stay. The hotel is at a walking distance from the main historical attractions (ie. the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, Istanbul Archaeological Museums, the Basilica Cistern, etc.) which was of utmost importance to me. For gourmet retreats, my suggestion would be nearby Karakoey district (ie. Karakoey Guellueoglu for assorted baklavas, Namli for delicatessen, Tarihi Karakoey Balik Lokantasi for fish meals, and Koska for assorted Turkish delights).

The location is wonderful, just a few minutes walk from Blue Mosque and 10 minutes from Gran Bazar. Rooms are small but nice and comfortable. Staff is helpful and there is a good shuttle van to/from the airport. Would recommend both for families and solo business travellers.

Location close to the city center, good air con system, rooms are on a small side but are nicely designed in a neutral style.
Promotional offer at Hotel Perula is a fake as the price it offers is by all means the top maximum anyone would agree to pay for the quality you get. Do not trust the pictures on their website - the hotel is located on a noisy street three metres wide and is clamped by dodgy buildings, and room "with a view" means it will be overlooking dirty windows of an abandoned house. Breakfast is very average. Hardly anyone at reception speaks decent English. Even the simplest requests like booking a table at a nearby restaurant turn out to be a problem. We were disturbed on a number of occasions by hotel staff storming into our room (!!) while we were inside - they either knocked once and then proceeded immediately with opening our door with a master key or did not knock at all. On the first day of our stay the room was not cleaned at all. When it was not cleaned at 4pm the next day and we complained about it receptionist explained that they first have to clean rooms where people have checked out and only then proceed with others. Don't expect your room to be cleaned before 5pm. If you leave air con on when you go for a walk it will be switched off when you come back or set at +30* C. Hotel offers free wi-fi and a (tiny) laptop but everything including software is in Turkish and due to connection restrictions it is not possible to check your email or log into any social network. Finally, their promotional one-way transfer offer is a lie. We were told you can only use it upon departure and if we wanted to be picked up it would cost 30 euros. We agreed, but were not met at the airport due to an imaginary car crash (reception had no idea about us and gave us this excuse, though the brand new hotel car, which is the only one, was quietly parked outside), we received no apologies and when we wanted to have a transfer on our way back we were told it was not possible as the management had left and we had no voucher etc.

During my 4-night stay, I absolutely loved the cozy atmosphere of my room and the delicious breakfast served each morning. The Turkish bath was a highlight. They offered relaxing massages which helped me unwind completely. The only small downside was the AC which didn't work all that well, but thankfully, the weather was perfect! 😊
